vtec quit working for awhile, now it works but at about 5800rpm it cuts out hard. also my butterfly mechanism on the drive side of the intake manifold has been "twitching" causing my car to die, or have trouble starting.
twitching= openning and closing quickly for no apparent reason.
thanks
you will need the integra mounts, i did this swap without any aftermarket mounts.
obviously some teg axles and linkage.
very straitforward swap. easy to do in a weekend.
i want to put a cold air intake on my engine but i don't know if a regular civic intake will accomodate the gsr intake manifold. which intake have you guys used.
also, i have leather gsr seats for the rear of my hatch, the top part of the seat fits good, but the bottom part of the seat is not...
i'm going to put my b18c1 from my gsr into my 95 civic si.
can i use my factory si wireing harness?
will i need any xtra wiring?
will my apex exhaust bolt to the factory b18 manifold?
should this be a pretty simple swap?
what should i watch out for?
ps. i'll get u guys some pics of the swap...
i have a 95 civic d16z6.
i want to put a cam in. not to aggresive, but i want somemore power.
will anything out of a zc or something fit and give me power?
what is another cheep cam that will help?
gude?
the ls has less hp than the gsr, yeah.
but the ls has more torque.
the gsr is rated to have 1 more ftlb. than the ls everywhere i have read, but the ls makes it's torque way lower in the rpm range.
you can boost an ls for about the price you spend on a gsr engine alone.
