technically nobody would ever know if there was an LSD added to a FWD car...
This is not cheating, this is the way it is done. If you're not doing it too, then you're not playing to the extent of the rules. Don't get your panties in a bunch because you assumed this was gentleman's racing, it is not.Teams who would go through inspection with a turd of an engine that barely ran, then after clearing tech would swap it with a crate engine.
Teams who would put a LSD rear into the standard housing.
Teams who would put a bottle or two of Stoli or Grey Goose in the engine bay and pass tech that way.
We were docked because we had a brand new radiator, and no "bribes" or other "offerings."
In LeMons, that is usually the case.Yeah, the biggest thing that killed my team was the car's reliability.

Also watch the top running teams when they pit. They are fucking serious about it and quick. We got our pits down to 3 min, parked near track exit/entrance and stayed out in the car for 2.5 hour intervals per driver/refuel. This kept us in the top 10. A few infractions kept us at 11, we could have done better if we were cleaner.
The bribes can give you a "get out of jail free card". You still have to come in to the paddock, give them the card, explain the situation, most of the time change the driver... by that time you're already fucked.Second biggest thing that killed us was the penalties.
Guys who bribed the judges got away without penalty, but since we didn't even think that bribery was a possibility, we got screwed.
We did sign all of our scrapes, scrubs, and cracks on the car, lol.
You do in a sense give up, but you continue driving. Hell you're at the track, might as well still get some seat time.lmao Might as well quit there.
After the first day of testing, we were all WIPED OUT.
Two more days of balls to the walls racing our shitbox, and we were all totally dead on Sunday. I remember going home, unloading my car, and falling asleep sitting up on the couch.
It was equivalent to about a week solid of autocross. I remember getting out of the car after my laps and thinking to myself that there's no way autocross is going to scratch the itch anymore, lol.
haha, I remember after doing a 2.5 hour stint driving balls to the walls in 105 degree ambient temp and not being able to get out of the car on my own or stand. They drug me out of the car for that driver change. I didn't realize how tired I was until I actually stopped. lolAfter the first day of testing, we were all WIPED OUT.
